We had an adventure working with this couple! Their unique location was a private clubhouse located in the center of their urban set apartment complex in Irvine, so we really had a blank canvas to work with! With victorian purple and silver satin linens, purple uplights and an astounding array of florals, we were so excited to see Christina and Tony’s big day come together seamlessly!

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. ~ Alice & Charlton, Marilyn Nakazato Photography

We have been so excited ever since we first met and booked this couple’s upcoming wedding! Alice and Charlton are the sweetest couple and we can see why they’re so in love! They are both genius pharmacists who first met at a pharmacy social… the rest, as we say, is history! Now, they both live in San Diego and we have had the pleasure of planning their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding at the Nixon Library come March!

With visions of keys and clocks, books and tea cups, their wedding will be a very classy and romantic interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. From soft blush and light peach florals to champagne and ivory linens, their wedding day will be the embodiment of romance touched by the intrigue and whimsy of Alice in Wonderland!

But before we can bring you the amazing details of their soon to come wedding day, check out this adorable couple in their amazing engagement shoot at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Thanks to the super talented Marilyn Nakazato for capturing these amazing shots of the lovely Alice and Charlton!!

Something borrowed, something blue

All things for good luck for a bride on her wedding day to bring on a happy marriage.

But what’s the meaning behind each verse? From Wedding Bee:
[Something old - continuity with the bride's family and the past
Something new - optimism and hope for the bride's new life ahead
Something borrowed - an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride
Something blue - Before the late 19th century, blue was a popular color for wedding gowns, as evidenced in proverbs like, "Marry in blue, lover be true."]

We had previously shared about the “sixpence in her shoe“, and we’ve seen plenty of darling blue shoes too!

The new can be the wedding gown, or the veil. But both can also be borrowed, if they are handed down through generations.

Here are a couple of ideas that incorporates all these ideas into one neat package!
