A Classic Wedding at The Resort at Pelican Hill, Newport Coast ~ Kenny Grill Photography

The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast is a beautiful wedding venue with its the iconic Italian rotunda and amazing views of the Pacific Coast! The Mar Vista room with its beautiful alcove is the highlight of the room with  panoramic ocean views and floor to ceiling windows. While we can’t show you the happy couple, we still wanted to share the details of this classic elegant white and silver wedding! Don’t forget to check out below the amazing vendors who made this unforgettable event possible!

The ceremony out in the warm sunshine started this happy occasion off right! The Italian rotunda a perfect focal point for the processional. We love the full simplicity of these aisle pieces.

Framed by the rotunda, these altar pieces fit the scene perfectly. The wispyness of the green vines swayed gently in the breeze as the ceremony took place.

As we moved from ceremony to reception, the guests were greeted by this unique display of their escort cards. The manzanita centerpiece an enticing sight to behold.

Quite possibly our favorite view of the Mar Vista ballroom. The natural light is perfection!

A beautiful (and delicious) candy buffet provided by the couple’s friends! Green, white and silver candy to coordinate with the rest of the wedding decor!

These organza swirl overlays added a light elegant touch of silver, accented by silver chivari chairs.

Alicia & Joey ~ Seven Degrees, Laguna Beach, KLK Photography

Without further delay, we wanted to share with you one of our favorite winter weddings! We previewed it to you all a while back, and now that we’ve built up the anticipation, here’s the amazing decor and design of Alicia & Joey’s wedding at the modern venue, [Seven-Degrees] in Laguna Beach! With a metallic palette and contemporary decor elements, we created a modern winter wonderland! Ooh and ahh over the amazing florals created by My Floral Bliss, captured by the talented Kristi Klemens of KLK Photography!

We had a great time working with Alice & Joey to custom design a beautiful and unforgettable wedding for their family and guests!

A fun candy buffet of all their favorite candies! Gummy worms, rock candy sticks, jelly bellies, and more!

And let’s not forget the cake! Created by Sweet Gems… this masterpiece was put together and finished on-site!

Nancy & Joel ~ Mastro’s Restaurant, Costa Mesa ~ Cathy Sunu Photography

We are so excited to share more of this fun and easy, yet fresh and modern wedding at Mastro’s in Costa Mesa with you!

Congratulations again to the adorable couple, Nancy & Joel! They were the sweetest couple to work with, and we were so glad to be included in such an intimate wedding affair. With a little bit of rain and wind changing the original wedding ceremony plans, the A Good Affair Wedding & Event Production stepped up to the plate with the help of the amazing Mastro’s staff to come up with a fabulous alternative (and we may even have to admit, BETTER alternative!) Instead of the ceremony held out in the sculpture rock garden by the world renowned sculptor, Isamu Noguchi – the California Scenario, we moved it to the intimate balcony of Mastro’s. With a draped tent and dropped chandeliers, slate floors and warm sconce lighting, we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful alternative. With white mums, yellow tulips and billy balls, this is quite possibly one of our favorite bridal bouquets!

Floating candles lined the ceremony aisle, leading up to the beautiful tall altar pieces! Framing the happy couple perfectly!

These simply and modern orchid centerpieces were perfect for this wedding! We love the adorable wooden table numbers!

Love this sash on Nancy’s beautiful wedding dress!

Smiles all around! :) We had a fabulous time at Nancy & Joel’s wedding!

Congrats to Jenn & Dustin! They celebrated their marriage in style at the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort in Los Angeles county! With rich purples, damask patterns, and modern lounge furniture, Jenn & Dustin partied the night away with friends and family in this glamorous ballroom wedding! This happy couple had a classic sense of style and knew how to have a good time!

Christina & Tony ~ Central Park West- Irvine, CA ~ Mike Lewis Photography

Christina & Tony’s special day for their Orange County wedding began with a beautiful ceremony at Chapman University’s Fish Interfaith Center Chapel, followed by an intimate reception in a private club house in Central Park West in Irvine.

The beautiful florals provided by My Floral Bliss created a romantic aisle in the modern chapel culminating in a full altar table of glass, crystals, candles, orchids and birch branches.
This amazing look was mirrored at their reception location as well… except with more glass vases, more candlelight, and more flowers! Thanks Mike Lewis Photography for capturing all the special moments of the day!

We loved all the natural light streaming into this modern chapel. The purple and lavender really popped in this clean white space.

 

Congrats to Christina and Tony!! Look at the smile on their faces! :)

Now on to the reception!

A modern look with silver satin napkins and victorian purple napkins. The silver chivari chairs added just the right look of elegance to the space too!

Mai & David ~ Franciscan Gardens, San Juan Capistrano ~ Aldous Photography

Here’s to the newlyweds, Mai & David! We had such a wonderful time creating the bright and citrusy wedding design complete with yarn ball accents and paper rosettes. The bright orange and greens came together beautifully! San Juan Capistrano is such a beautiful area to go off and take these romantic pictures as well! One of our favorite reasons Franciscan Gardens is such a great venue to get married at!

Can you say foot fetish?? If you’ve been following our weddings, we’ll ALWAYS try to get the photographer to take these feet shots! But aren’t they oh-so-adorable images?

The bride, Mai, is from Japan. And that’s actually where this cute couple met! We wanted her to be able to incorporate that part of her heritage in this special day, so she had rice crackers from Japan as special favors for each guest too!

Her mom also contributed in doing this amazingly intricate carved melons!

Congrats to a wonderful couple, Lisa & Mike! It was our pleasure to be part of such a special day! Lisa & Mike are quite the pair… and their love is just so incredible! It was a beautiful day at Hillcrest Park for their special day!

We spent one glorious Sunday morning at the Irvine Antique Market hunting for more vintage goodies!

Can’t go vintage without some burlap… “how sweet it is…”

This dessert station rocked our world! We loved setting up all these yummy sweets in a very homey and rustic feel.

Mother of the bride handmade these beautiful beaded flowers.
They incorporated beautifully into the bouquets we designed with peonies and succulents for the bride and bridesmaids! LOVE that antique brooch too!

Gorgeous white hydrangeas with accents of succulents – an A Good Affair floral creation in nice wooden boxes.

Love these long family style tables… the burlap runner really adds that special touch!

Homemade jam for favors! A wonderfully sweet take home treat for their guests.

What an amazing and detail filled wedding! We had such a great time brainstorming these ideas and seeing it come to fruition! We hope you enjoyed these special touches as well!

We absolutely LOVE working at Franciscan Gardens! It is a beautiful and versatile venue that suits any color palette, style and motif.
