The Wine Cellar and Terrace
This truly unique venue features 100-year-old French paved flooring and stone walls creating an old world ambiance; mahogany and custom iron furnishings and a wine inventory of 10,000 bottles from around the world. This location allows for seating of up to 50 guests and is ideal for an intimate wedding or rehearsal dinner. Its delightful outdoor terrace seats up to 40 guests, and features columns topped by colorful bougainvillea which provide framing views of the ocean, Grand Lawn and pool.

This week’s Wedded Wednesday was inspired by a wedding we worked back in August of 2012. Mimi & Alan had a stunning ceremony and reception at The California Club in Los Angeles, which sparked our Wednesday topic of the ‘rooftop wedding’. There are a few things to keep in mind about booking a roof-top wedding, but we guarantee that with the right elements, these venues can be a stunning place to hold an intimate ceremony. Obviously, a great view is something you need to keep in mind while perusing rooftop destinations, but always be sure to visit your chosen venue at the same time of day your wedding will take place, just to be sure your lighting will be juuust right. (Even check in with your photographer on their thoughts!) A second aspect to think about is the setting. Setting a scene with your surrounding can tie in the theme of your wedding perfectly, so consider the possibilities: your view could show a beautiful 360 view of the ocean, or be completely consumed by urban architecture.

If you have just become engaged you are probably feeling overjoyed and elated that you are finally getting to marry the love of your life! Then the reality of wedding planning sets in and you wonder- now where are we going to say I Do? There are so many wedding locations in Orange County to chose from that are absolutely fabulous. We wanted to share with you one of these gems that we highly recommend, Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano.
