As promised, we are sharing a full feature of Nikki & Tommy’s luxurious Orange County destination wedding with you. As we gear up for not one, but two weddings at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel this weekend, we are re-visiting one of our favorites. “Nikki and Tommy knew they wanted to get married in Southern California where Nikki grew up. The New York based couple wanted an intimate destination wedding for their closest family and friends. When I met Nikki and Tommy they were trying to plan their wedding in less than a month due to Nikki’s father’s declining health. She wanted him to be able to be a part of their special day and stand and give her away. So we got to work planning their gorgeous Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel wedding. Nikki has such a bright and infectious personality that becomes apparent the moment she walks into the room! I wanted to infuse their wedding day with her bright and fun personality. We settled on a vibrant color palette of bold fuchsia, tangerine, and pops of rich berry for the wedding colors. With lush elegant blooms of garden roses, bougainvillea, ranunculus, spray roses, and dahlias, abundant arrangements were the perfect touch to the Plaza ballroom. Pops of rose gold sequins, delicate gold gilded boxes, and detailed glassware elevated this design and created visual interest. Nikki wore a stunning Lihi Hod gown that looked like it was designed just for her! The ceremony was set on the Sunset Terrace with a lush arch as the backdrop for their vows. Guests then sipped on cocktails and found their seats on bottles of rose champagne. Guests dined on a delicious gourmet dinner amongst romantic candlelight then they got their groove on the dance floor. My favorite aspect of intimate weddings is the closeness of the group. Nikki and Tommy’s friends from childhood came from all over the country to celebrate their most special day. There were wonderful speeches that made people laugh and cry, memories were made that I know they will cherish for the rest of their lives.” – Natalie Good
